El viernes me encontré con el mismo problema. Tenía un MPEG y al pasarlo a MOV, MP4, DV o cualquier otra cosa el audio se perdía. Suerte que el imprescindible (y gratuito) FFMPEG estaba ahí para ayudarme. Con él puedes pasar el MPEG prácticamente a cualquier formato de vídeo sin problemas y sin perder el audio.

Pero codecs no hay ninguno. Ten en cuenta que iMovie no tiene codecs propios, funciona con los de Quicktime. Y por mucho que en Quicktime ves tu MPEG, iMovie siempre convierte este formato automáticamente (y es ahí donde se estropea el asunto).

Desconozco si hay acciones de FFMPEG para Automator. Si las hubiese sería una solución: creas la acción y se la aplicas a una carpeta, le metes a la carpeta todos los MPEG a saco y a esperar a ver que pasa Big Grin
